Default Sports Head Injuries

There has been an increased interest in and attention to head injuries associated with a number of popular sports. If I have an athlete with a minor head injury, she is out of gym/sports for 2 weeks. If it is her second head injury, she is out for the season, 3-4 months. If she has a third head injury, she is out of gym/sports until cleared by a neurologist. How does everyone else handle this?

Good to see you here David!!! We always recommend to our snowboarders that they use some type of wrist guards, much like the ones sold for inline skaters/skateboarders, however there are plenty of Snowboarder gloves with wrist protectors built right into them! See here for an example: http://www.snowboardsecrets.com/flexmeter.htm

Hope all is well at GFH!!!!
